Bareilly ke Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS) me ek nayi Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) facility ki shuruat ki gayi hai. Yeh Uttar Pradesh me apni tarah ka pehla center hai jo medical care me ek bada kadam hai. Is facility ka inauguration 20 August 2026 ko hua tha jabki iski report 27 August 2026 ko jari ki gayi thi. Yeh puri jankari ANI news report ke anusar di gayi hai.
Yeh project SRMS Trust ke dwara ₹7-crore ke Annual Medical Research Grant ke sahyog se shuru kiya gaya hai.
Yeh grant jeevan rakshak therapies, rare diseases par research, aur advanced medical technology ko aage badhane ke liye hai. SRMS IMS ke Principal Air Marshal (Retd) Dr. MS Butola ne bataya ki HBOT normal oxygen supplementation se alag kaam karta hai.
Ek specialized hyperbaric chamber ke andar, patients normal atmospheric pressure se zyada pressure par 100% pure oxygen lete hain.
Is process se lungs zyada oxygen absorb karte hain jo bimari, chot ya blood flow me kami se prabhavit tissues ko theek karne me madad karta hai. Is facility me ek multi-place chamber hai jisme ek sath lagbhag paanch se chhah patients ki dekhrekh ki ja sakti hai.
Is therapy ka upyog diabetic foot wounds, chronic wounds, anaerobic infections, burns, trauma, gangrene, carbon monoxide poisoning, aur radiation se kharab hue tissues ke ilaaj me hota hai.
Yeh therapy Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, aur Trauma Care me bhi upyogi hai. Iske alawa, yeh aviation personnel aur high-altitude par rehne wale logon ko decompression sickness jaisi samasyaon me bhi vishesh sahyog deti hai.
