CJP Spokesperson Saurav Das ने Delhi High Court में Privacy Breach को लेकर दायर किया मुकदमा
Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) spokesperson और activist Saurav Das ने Delhi High Court में एक lawsuit file किया है। इसमें कई media entities और individuals के खिलाफ legal action की मांग की गई है, क्योंकि उन्होंने कथित तौर पर Saurav Das का residential address और personal information public कर दिया था। Defendants में media commentator Abhijit Iyer-Mitra, media platform The Pamphlet, legal news outlet Law Beat, The Jaipur Dialogues, The Sunday Guardian, साथ ही X Corp और Google LLC शामिल हैं।
Legal filing के अनुसार, यह विवाद 5 August 2026 की एक घटना से जुड़ा है। The Pamphlet के representatives ने Greater Kailash-I स्थित Saurav Das के shared residential premises में कथित तौर पर trespass किया, जहां वह early 2025 से रह रहे हैं। Plaintiff का आरोप है कि intruders ने उनके घर के अंदर का footage record किया और उसे social media platform X पर publish कर दिया। यह video, जिसमें उनका private residential address सामने आया, उसे 2.1 million से अधिक views मिले और 10 August 2026 को इसे फिर से republish किया गया।
Saurav Das ने privacy, dignity और security के violation के लिए ₹2.01 lakh damages की मांग की है। उन्होंने defendants को उनके private residential details को publish या circulate करने से रोकने के लिए permanent injunction की भी request की है। उन्होंने court से X Corp और Google LLC को offending content हटाने और उसके further dissemination को रोकने का निर्देश देने की याचिका दी है।
5 August की घटना के बाद, Das ने Greater Kailash police station में formal police complaint दर्ज कराई। Complaint में Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) के तहत house-trespass, criminal intimidation, defamation और criminal conspiracy जैसे cognizable offenses का हवाला दिया गया। 6 August 2026 को एक Delhi Police official ने confirm किया कि investigation चल रही है और safety concerns के कारण Das के residence के बाहर security personnel deploy किए गए हैं। Fellow CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka ने बताया कि trespass के समय Das की family present थी, और organization इन actions से undeterred है।
Das का कहना है कि violent threats का सामना करने के उनके history के कारण उनके home address का public disclosure उनके और अन्य occupants के लिए एक severe security risk है। वह maintain करते हैं कि police complaint file करने और इन risks के बारे में notifications जारी करने के बावजूद, defendants ने उनकी information को disclose करना जारी रखा।
