Gurgaon के U Block, DLF Phase 3 में 2,000 से अधिक homeowners एक departmental enforcement drive के खिलाफ court में challenge करने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं। residents का कहना है कि alleged building violations को लेकर blanket approach अपनाई जा रही है।Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) ने Punjab and Haryana High Court के directives के बाद area में demolition और sealing operations तेज कर दिए हैं। इस कार्रवाई में 1,362 recorded violations को target किया जा रहा है, जिसमें stilt constructions, zoning breaches और unauthorized paying guest facilities शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा, 4 August 2026 के एक Supreme Court order में यह भी mandate किया गया था कि authorities को necessary होने पर sealing या demolition जैसी active enforcement ਦਿఖानी होगी।

Residents की मांग और legal consultations

Residents का तर्क है कि properties के बीच violations का nature काफी अलग-अलग होता है। वे Haryana government से request कर रहे हैं कि rectifiable structures के regularization के लिए एक practical policy लागू की जाए। कई owners 16.5-meter height ceiling का comply करने के लिए buildings को retrofit करने को भी तैयार हैं।Residents Kuldeep Yadav और Ishwar Yadav वर्तमान में site-specific assessments की वकालत करने के लिए legal consultations facilitate कर रहे हैं। इस बीच, petitioner Sameer Puri पहले ही DLF Phase 3 में extensive unauthorized construction के मुद्दे को Punjab and Haryana High Court के सामने ला चुके हैं।

DTCP का पक्ष

Residents की concerns का जवाब देते हुए एक senior DTCP official ने कहा है कि enforcement actions generalized floor-count policy के बजाय sanctioned building plans और established norms से deviations पर based हैं।Department का कहना है कि वह due legal procedure follow कर रहा है और property owners को अपने individual objections file करने के लिए competent authorities या courts में जाने का पूरा अधिकार है।
