DDA Plantation Season और 8.29 Lakh Saplings

Scientifically Designed Grid-Based Model और Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign
LG Sandhu के मार्गदर्शन में यह extensive ecological restoration program, indigenous species के साथ scientifically designed grid-based, multi-tier plantation model का उपयोग करके विभिन्न Ridge areas में लगभग 120 hectares को कवर करता है। यह Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah द्वारा 7 जुलाई को 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign के तहत शुरू किए गए 70 lakh Plantation Mission के साथ संरेखित है। इसके लिए DDA को capital में 23 lakh indigenous saplings लगाने का काम सौंपा गया है Source। इस initiative का उद्देश्य native Ridge forests को restore करके biodiversity, air quality, climate resilience और groundwater recharge में सुधार करना है। इससे पहले जुलाई में, DDA ने Yamuna floodplains के लिए एक shared vision विकसित करने के लिए तीन "Yamuna Dialogues" workshops भी समाप्त कीं।
