Delhi Connaught Place Protest: Caste-Based Reservation Ke Khilaf Pradarshan Me 20 Se Zyada Log Detain
Delhi ke Connaught Place me Sunday, August 23, 2026 ko lagbhag 300 pradarshankari maujud hue aur unhone existing caste-based reservation system ke khilaf protest kiya. Yeh campaign 'one family, one reservation' policy ki maang kar raha hai, sath hi economic-based quotas ka implementation aur University Grants Commission (UGC) ki 2026 caste-equity regulations ko withdraw karne ki baat kar raha hai. Union government ne recently Supreme Court ko inform kiya tha ki vah 2026 UGC directives ko reconsider kar rahi hai, jise court ne pehle hold par rakha tha. Union Minister Chirag Paswan ne Saturday, August 22, 2026 ko is tension par baat ki aur kaha ki agar demands ko systematically present kiya jaye toh government protestors ke sath dialogue ke liye open hai.
