Air India Pilot Fails Second Dope Test: Phuket-Delhi Flight Turbulence Case में Marijuana की पुष्टि
Air India Phuket-Delhi Flight AI-2379 के Pilot-in-Command ने दूसरा confirmatory dope test fail कर दिया है। 4 अगस्त 2026 को Phuket से Delhi आ रही इस flight को severe turbulence का सामना करना पड़ा था। Sources के अनुसार, test में pilot के system में marijuana होने की पुष्टि हुई है। इस flight में 137 passengers और 8 crew members सवार थे। अचानक 300 फीट ऊंचाई कम होने के कारण कम से कम 20 passengers और 4 crew members घायल हो गए थे, जिनमें से Delhi में landing के बाद 17 लोगों को hospital में admit करना पड़ा था।
Pilot पर कार्रवाई और DGCA के नियम
Repeat positive test result आने के बाद pilot को तुरंत off-rostered यानी ground कर दिया गया है और मामले की inquiry जारी है। India की aviation regulatory body, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ऐसे violations के लिए strict rules enforce करती है। First offense पर immediate grounding, license suspension और mandatory rehabilitation होता है। Second positive test के मामले में pilot का license 3 साल के लिए suspend हो सकता है, जबकि third offense पर permanent cancellation हो सकता है। DGCA incident के बाद psychoactive substance screening को mandate करता है और aviation personnel के लिए zero-tolerance policy रखता है।
Investigation और उच्च स्तरीय बैठकें
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) इस incident को "Serious Incident" मानकर full investigation कर रही है, जिसमें French aircraft accident probe agency BEA और Airbus teams की assistance मिलने की उम्मीद है। Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu ने कहा है कि ministry इस matter को seriously ले रही है और DGCA से existing regulations पर updates मांगे हैं। Air India CEO Campbell Wilson और senior executives ने भी Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha से मिलकर incident पर discuss किया है। DGCA aviation sector में substance abuse को रोकने के लिए flight crew के वास्ते stricter dope-testing requirements implement करने पर काम कर रहा है।
