AIIMS Delhi के नए Director की तलाश तेज, Application Phase हुआ पूरा

AIIMS New Delhi में नए full-time Director के recruitment process के तहत application phase पूरा हो चुका है। पूर्व Director Dr. M Srinivas के NITI Aayog में transfer के बाद खाली हुए पद के लिए यह प्रक्रिया चल रही है। Ministry of Health and Family Welfare ने 27 जून 2026 को search शुरू की थी, जिसके लिए 30 days का window दिया गया था और applications 27 जुलाई 2026 को conclude हुईं। इस पद के लिए 65 applications आने की रिपोर्ट्स सामने आई हैं, हालांकि officials का कहना है कि selection process अभी early stages में है और कोई formal shortlist finalize नहीं हुई है।

इस position के लिए apply करने वाले candidates को Indian citizen, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), या Person of Indian Origin (PIO) होना अनिवार्य है, जिनकी upper age limit 62 years तय की गई है। essential qualifications में medicine, surgery या public health में postgraduate degree होनी चाहिए, साथ ही कम से कम 25 years का professional experience होना जरूरी है। इसमें कम से कम 10 years teaching और research का अनुभव, और healthcare या educational institutions में significant administrative expertise भी शामिल है। चुने गए candidate को five-year term या 65 years की age होने तक सेवा का मौका मिलेगा।

वर्तमान में Prof. Nikhil Tandon जो Endocrinology Department के Head हैं, interim Director के रूप में काम कर रहे हैं। AIIMS faculty से potential contenders में Prof. Neena Malhotra, Prof. Naveet Wig, Prof. Uma Kumar, Prof. Sanjay Rai, और Prof. Sudhir Gupta शामिल हैं। final selection Search-cum-Selection Committee के review के बाद Appointments Committee of the Cabinet द्वारा किया जाएगा। institutional guidelines के अनुसार, इस appointment के लिए eligibility criteria और governance structure specialized medical institutes के federal standards के अनुसार ही हैं (Source)।
